Job Title: Cyber and IT Systems Manager

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Position Type: Full-Time, on site

Reports To: Principal Site Lead, Colorado Springs

Eligibility Requirements:

2. Top Secret / SCI eligibility current within the past 6 years

3. Meet access eligibility requirements of DoDM 5205.07 Volume 2

Job Overview:

The candidate will rely on a Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) background to be a technical leader and support Enterprise activities and Nooks’ customers throughout multiple computing domains (Classified and Unclassified). The candidate is responsible for executing and enforcing Information System Security policies, standards, and directives to ensure assessment and authorization of information systems processing classified information.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and operate a network of sensitive and classified IT networks in support of all of Nooks’ customers - government and commercial - while adhering to the most stringent security protocols and requirements.
  • Establish an IT service management architecture that supports the strategic initiatives of the Nooks IT Road map.
  • Manages Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, product development, and product maintenance for assigned systems
  • Manages and performs security compliance continuous monitoring
  • Lead efforts to inform, manage, and ensure the corporate IT network’s compliance with Cyber security Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) standards, including monitoring adherence to security protocols, conducting regular audits, and implementing necessary controls to maintain compliance across systems and processes.
  • Lead overall IT systems architecture efforts including health, maintenance, and the support of new systems
  • Assist in the development and implementation of government approved information security procedures and plans for the operation of multiple networked systems, and coordinate government agency approvals
  • Apply information technology security principles and configure security settings, complete weekly system audits, apply security patches, and conduct media reviews
  • Consult on the design, development, integration, and analysis of classified computing systems
  • Assist with self-inspection reviews
  • Assist in conducting comprehensive investigation of computer security incidents, coordinating with other organizations for expertise

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with DoD Organizations and Government Classified IT systems
  • Experience with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Windows and Linux Servers/Clients, PC Desktops, network devices, and supported applications
  • Holds a current Security+ Certification (IAT or IAM Level 1 IAW DODM 8570.1-M)
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity policies and implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF): e.g. DAAPM, ICD-503, JSIG, or NIST SP 800-171
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 2+ years of experience in assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show cybersecurity compliance
  • Experience leading audits conducted by external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with ability to communicate well with team members, customers and leadership
  • Typically, 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required
